Spanish judge gives maximum sentences to leaders of Madrid bombings

A Spanish court has convicted 21 people of involvement in the 2004 Madrid train bombings, and given maximum sentences to three men for the attacks that killed nearly 200 people.

Chief Judge Javier Gomez Bermudez pronounced two Moroccans and a Spaniard guilty of murdering the 191 people killed in the blasts.

Moroccan Jamal Zougam was sentenced to a total of more than 40,000 years in prison, although under Spanish law he can only serve a maximum of 40 years. Spaniard Emilio Suarez Trashorras, found guilty of supplying explosives, also received a sentence of thousands of years in jail.

In a surprise move, the man accused of organising the attacks was acquitted on all charges along with six other defendants. Rabei Osman Sayed Ahmed, known as "Mohamed the Egyptian", is in prison in Italy after being convicted of belonging to an international terrorist group.

Two other alleged ringleaders received sentences of less than 20 years in prison for belonging to a terrorist organisation.

在BBC上看到这条新闻。。。

看到其中一句重点:Moroccan Jamal Zougam was sentenced to a total of more than 40,000 years in prison, although under Spanish law he can only serve a maximum of 40 years. 太屌了,一判判四万年。

不由脑海浮现一个场景:囚犯甲、乙、丙在监狱中相遇。

甲:哥们判几年?

乙:(自以为很屌,摆摆手,miller的惯常动作)不过20年而已。

甲嘴角带着一撇不屑的冷笑,耸耸肩道:哥们也只不过40年。

甲乙注意到身边的丙完全不动声色,异口同声问道:哥们你几年?

丙:40000年

。。。。。。
